Baxter announces a three-year distributionagreement with SIGMA International GeneralMedical Apparatus, LLC for infusion pumps. Theagreement enables Baxter to provide Spectrumlarge-volume infusion pumps to customers, andit grants Baxter access to SIGMA's productdevelopment pipeline, which will complementBaxter's current infusion systems portfolio andnext-generation technologies. The Spectrumsmart pump weighs approximately 2.5 poundsand measures 1/10 the size of many other largevolume pumps. It features a wireless connectivityoption and smart pump technology intendedto help reduce medication errors through theuse of drug libraries.
