I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the DoPs who participated in this year's State of Pharmacy Automation survey. We had a tremendous response, and the data compiled this year will be a valuable resource for hospital pharmacies making purchasing decisions in 2010.
In order to assist you with budget requests, we have made some of our State of Pharmacy Automation charts, graphs, and tables available as PowerPoint slides. You can now download much of the data found in the issue to support your presentations to administration in favor of purchasing new pharmacy systems and products. This type of clear-cut, straightforward market data is invaluable when presenting capital improvement requests to your administration.
All the best,
R. Mitchell Halvorsen

P.S. Please note the following correction to August's State of Pharmacy Automation data for Wireless Temperature Monitoring on page 63: Cooper Atkins' market share should be 20% not 16%, as the 4% of respondents who reported using TempTrak, Cooper Atkins' monitoring system, should be included in the total market share number.
