Baxa announces the latest upgrades to its DoseEdge pharmacy workflow manager, a tool that verifies the use of correct drugs, diluents, and concentrations in the compounding of IV, chemo, TPN, and oral liquid doses. Version 2010.2 of the software includes more than 39 improvements and functionality enhancements extending safety benefits to a wider variety of compounded dose types through the application of an expanded formulary database. New features include improved overfill handling, improved email alerts, and the ability to cover the preparation of unit-dose oral liquids. Cost benefits are available for users of the Baxa ExactaMed line of oral syringes.
