Publisher's Letter: A Trusted Resource for Information

As a special supplement to our April issue, PP&P brings you the results of our first annual “State of Pharmacy Compounding” survey. The information compiled from our nationwide poll of health-system pharmacies can serve as a valuable tool for benchmarking your progress in achieving <797> compliance against that of your peers.

In addition to uncovering trends in current compounding practices, we were pleased to learn that 80% of the survey respondents use PP&P as a resource for information on <797> requirements. Of course, in our upcoming issues, PP&P will continue publishing articles that will help our readers achieve <797> compliance. Be on the lookout for features on the following topics:

    • Best Practices for Cleaning the Cleanroom
    •Best Practices for Environmental Monitoring
    • Budgeting for Cleanroom Construction
    • Compounding for Nuclear Pharmacy
    • Infection Control

If you were among the 249 health-system pharmacists who responded to the “State of Pharmacy Compounding” survey, please accept our sincere thanks for your time and consideration. PP&P will be conducting several more surveys this year, so if you have not yet had an occasion to contribute to our nationwide pool of data on pharmacy practice, keep your eyes open for future opportunities to be a part of it!

All the Best,
