A majority of hospitals report using laminar airflow workbenches (LAFWs), while a smaller number has adopted compounding aeseptic isolators (CAIs). Both of these engineering controls receive very high product-satisfaction ratings from their users. Of note, 82% of facilities report having certified their CAIs according to the CETA guidelines (CAG-002-2006).
