Adoption of bar coded medication administration (BCMA) systems continues its dramatic rise. Just as BCMA implementations were up this year, planned implementations over the next few years are also expected to increase. Pharmacists are extremely pleased with their systems, and pharmacy involvement in purchasing and implementing BCMA systems continues to expand. BCMA systems received the second highest satisfaction ratings among pharmacy automation solutions this year.
