The implementation of formal medication reconciliation processes is widespread, but satisfaction with these processes is not: 29% of respondents report dissatisfaction with their current system. Conversely, automated medication reconciliation systems, while not yet widely adopted, have much higher ratings: 87% report satisfaction with these solutions.

Given that many of the automated medication reconciliation solutions are relatively new to the market, it is no surprise that one of the top hindrances to implementing such a solution is an insufficient awareness of available products. Nonetheless, more than half of those without an automated solution predict they will implement one soon.
