The value of smart pumps is inherent in this year’s numbers. 60% of all facilities currently benefit from these pumps, up from 52% in 2008. Pharmacy is very involved in smart pump purchasing and implementation, which is reflected in their strong satisfaction ratings. Furthermore, the majority of those without pumps are planning to become users in the near future.
