While ratings for automated compounding devices remain very high this year, adoption of this technology is not widespread. Bed size plays a significant role in whether a facility has implemented, or plans to implement, an automated compounding device. The largest facilities regularly count on this technology to meet their high compounding volumes, but usage diminishes as bed size drops.
