The BD Intelliport system is a medication management solution for IV bolus injections that improves documentation and helps manage the risk of medication errors. The solution provides real-time drug identification, dose measurement, and allergy detection at the point of injection, while wirelessly sending captured information directly into the patient’s electronic medical record following medication administration. Limited commercial availability is anticipated for Fall 2015.
