Tromethamine 0.3 molar solution is now available from CAPS (Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc). CAPS’ Tromethamine solution is supplied as a single dose 0.3 M, 50 mL solution in a 60 mL syringe with a tamper-evident cap. The cap easily unlocks, just prior to syringe use, by pulling the clear protective barrier off and removing the red syringe cap. Tromethamine undergoes 100 percent release testing through CAPS’ Test, Hold and Release (THR) program. THR is designed to ensure that every compounded drug batch from a CAPS 503B outsourcing facility meets the new standards for cGMP release testing for sterility, potency, and endotoxin testing prior to release and shipment.
