Cardinal's new BarCode360 supports hospitals' medication safety initiatives by making it easier, more timely, and more cost efficient to order medications and ensuring more unit-dose medications can be scanned at the patient bedside. The BarCode360 integrates with the ordering process for all scan-ready medications. It synchronizes the hospital's product master, as nurses scan medications and administer them to patients, and helps hospitals track and bill each medication specifically to the patient to whom it was administered. The tool also helps reduce the time and resources devoted to on-site repackaging, and helps hospitals ensure medications are available when needed at the floor level.
