Medication on Demand (MOD) from Avancen MOD Corporation is a FDA-approved patient-controlled oral medication delivery system for pain medication in the form of tablets and capsules. The device allows a patient personal access to single doses of pain medication at prescribed time intervals while keeping pain levels in check and under control for quality patient care and better patient experience. When it is time for the next dose of medication, MOD alerts patients that their medication is available for them to use. The MOD delivers up to eight doses of medication at the patient's bedside using patented radio frequency identification (RFID) technology.
