RxScan announces the release of its NDC Translator Mobile for Windows Mobile 6.1 devices. Users can scan medication NDC bar codes directly into applications running on Windows Mobile devices, such as BPOC modules and mobile versions of Excel and Word. The application simplifies the process of building an inventory list of stock using 11-digit NDC numbers and BPOC medication scanning. NDC Translator Mobile translates the raw data from a drug manufacturer's bar code into the 11-digit NDC number. When the lot number and expiration date are included in the bar code, an alert will display if the drug is expired.
