USP <800> Self-Assessment Tool

BD

Joint Commission Resources has developed an online self-assessment toolkit that helps hospitals and health care facilities track their compliance with the new USP <800> guidelines on handling hazardous drugs in health care settings. This free toolkit, Self-Assessment of Safe Handling Practices for HDs, was made possible through sponsorship by BD and provides an opportunity for hospitals and health facilities to log in and evaluate their adherence to USP <800>. Upon completion, a report is generated specifying gaps in compliance, as well as recommendations to reach full compliance. In this partnership with BD, the Joint Commission Resources toolkit also provides other national standards and best practices. Visit hazmedsafety.com to access the toolkit; a PDF version is also available upon request.
