McKesson announces the availability of Health Robotics’ CytoCare, an automated system for compounding hazardous IVs used in chemotherapy, monoclonal antibody therapy, and genetic therapy. The system helps hospital pharmacies increase accuracy, reduce manual errors, and improve efficiencies when preparing hazardous IVs. Automating the process of compounding IVs decreases injury and exposure risks by protecting pharmacy staff from product selection and measurement errors, as well as from needle stick injuries.
