The PROmanager-Rx system from McKesson enables hospitals to fully automate the dispens- ing, storage, and restocking of tablets, capsules, and other oral solid medications that come prepackaged from drug manufacturers in unit dose, bar-coded form. The system operates on McKesson’s new Connect-Rx software Version 7.0 platform, and features order processing and inventory management applications to help increase inventory turns, manage expired and returned medications, and streamline whole- sale ordering. PROmanager-Rx accommodates more than 95% of oral solid medications avail- able from US drug manufacturers today, including a wide variety of shapes and sizes.
