Sublingual Film

Reckitt Benckiser Pharmaceuticals Inc

Reckitt Benckiser announces FDA approval of its SUBOXONE film, a sublingual film (CIII) used to treat opioid dependence. SUBOXONE film dissolves completely under the tongue, and comes in a compact, child-resistant unit-dose package. SUBOXONE film is designed to help address medication challenges by offering faster dissolve time and favorable taste over tablets, and its film formulation discourages misuse and abuse of the medication; it can not be readily crushed into a powder to snort as is the case with tablets.
