Grifols USA introduces Phocus Rx, a system of hardware and software tools that provide a safe and reliable environment for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to document and validate the compounding of IV drugs. Featuring a non-invasive design that does not require any devices be placed within the hood, Phocus Rx uses vision technology to allow pharmacists to remotely validate CSPs by reviewing captured images of the drug vials, IV solutions, and disposables used by the pharmacy technician during compounding. The system offers online communication between technicians working in the cleanroom and pharmacists validating the photo documentation of the compounding process.
