PROmanager-Rx from McKesson is a fully automated robotic solution for the storing, dispensing, returning, and crediting of unit dose oral solid medications. The system increases accuracy and eliminates process steps by automating the unit dose dispensing of manufacturers' bar coded, package-ready, oral solid medications. The robotic solution provides a quality assurance check of dispensed medications subject to state board of pharmacy regulations, reducing pharmacist labor and supporting clinical program expansion. Storing either 6,000 or 12,000 oral solid doses, the technology improves hospital pharmacy management of expired and returned medications while increasing inventory turns and reducing waste.
