Emporos Systems announces it has achieved EMV certification by integrating an EMV-approved payment middleware solution, Vantiv triPOS by Vantiv Integrated Payments, into its MerchantSoft point-of-sale solution. In addition to EMV support, which helps eliminate card fraud, the triPOS integration includes point-to-point encryption to help ensure card data is transmitted safely from the device to the payment processing system, and tokenization to store card information safely for future use. Users have the ability to process in-store transactions via EMV chip, swipe, and manually keyed transactions, allowing real-time processing for sales and returns. The triPOS integration also supports flexible spending account cards and mobile payment types, such as Apple Pay.
