QS/1 is partnering with Appriss Health to integrate NARxCHECK—an analytics solution designed to combat prescription drug abuse by offering pharmacies real-time access to data collected by prescription drug monitoring programs (PDMPs)—into pharmacy’s workflow. QS/1 helps foster the exchange of information between the pharmacy and Appriss Health to allow NARxCHECK to analyze a patient’s prescription profile against PDMPs to determine if there is a chance the patient is obtaining multiple prescriptions for certain controlled substances. PDMP data can potentially be shared across state lines. If a patient is filling prescriptions in other states where this information is exchanged with Appriss Health, that data can potentially be available.
