Proper rotation with these RTU disinfectants is key for a compliant sterile environment, especially given that the only disinfectant mentioned in USP <797> is sterile alcohol. Sterile alcohol should be used in rotation with at least one secondary disinfectant daily; using validated sterile alcohol as a primary cleaning agent throughout the day is advised, as is incorporating a secondary disinfectant into the cleaning process at the end of the day.
