Medical Packaging Inc (MPI) announces the availability of its new Pak-EDGE UD bar code labeling software for use with all of MPI’s pharmacy packaging systems. Pak-EDGE UD is optimized for use with Windows 7 and provides advanced bar coding capabilities through a single user interface with optional access to First DataBank data and images. The Pak-EDGE software is built on the foundation of the bar coding and safety features inherent in MPI’s existing WinPak software, with enhancements to assist the hospital pharmacy with compliance to TJC standards and NPSGs. Key features of Pak-EDGE include bar code builder and label designer tools, enhanced security, password controls and reporting, and a master drug formulary including drug data and image contained in a data repository accessible by all MPI pharmacy packaging systems.
