MedPickRx from Swisslog is a high-density, automated pick-to-light pharmacy system that optimizes the storing and picking of unit dose medications. MedPickRx provides the benefits of a vertical carousel at a fraction of the cost by offering custom configured grouping of storage modules, including workstations, drawers, carousels, and refrigerators. The customizable modular layout minimizes steps each technician must take, and allows for multiple technicians to do separate tasks simultaneously. LED lights identify the drawer and pocket for medication picking and restocking with a numeric display specifying the row and slot location. A bar code scan of the location ID and medication NDC ensures that the correct medication has been selected.
