Electronic Surveillance Application

Pharmacy OneSource, part of Wolters Kluwer

Pharmacy OneSource announces several new enhancements to Sentri7, its web-based, enterprise-wide electronic surveillance application that helps hospital staff identify at-risk patients. With the new updates, administrators at multi-hospital health systems will be able to view data from each facility. In addition to comparing facilities across their hospital system, they also can compare data to National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) benchmarks and standardized infection ratios for central line-associated bloodstream infections. Infection preventionists (IPs) will also be able to create their own customized infection line lists by choosing information they wish to display from documented infections and procedure data located in Sentri7. These infection line lists will help IPs identify potential interventions and trends, and provide ad-hoc analysis that can reduce infection rates.
