ICU Medical, Inc. launches the all-new Diana compounding workflow system, which combines automated compounding and IV workflow technologies with wireless pharmacist notification, enabling hospital pharmacists to remotely verify the accuracy of each patient preparation on a handheld tablet display without having to gown up and enter the cleanroom. Technician and pharmacist tablets communicate wirelessly between each other and the automated compounding module; in addition, integrated HD cameras let pharmacists remotely visualize the workflow. The system fits inside an existing 3-foot biological safety cabinet, avoiding the need to reconfigure the cleanroom.
