Grifols announces KIRO SP, which applies KIRO Oncology robotics to the production of compounded sterile preparations of specialized, non-hazardous doses that present particular high risk, complexity, and/or accuracy requirements during preparation. Precision scales perform gravimetric verification throughout the compounding process to ensure dose accuracy, while coordinated robotic arms facilitate production of complex preparations. Adaptors enable the use of a wide variety of sizes and types of source and final containers. During the cleaning process, staff members are protected by KIRO SP’s enclosed, automated cleaning system.
