Infusion-Smart introduces its eponymous software solution that gives basic infusion pumps many of the advantages of smart pumps. Infusion-Smart monitors the pumps, wirelessly, through their data ports. Pump information, combined with pharmacy prescriptions, patient, and drug library information (including limits) is displayed on a monitor at the nurse’s station or on a PDA. A hand-held scanner provides for drug, patient, and pump identification.
