CareFusion's Pyxis Mini system is smaller in size than a traditional ADC but fits the unique needs of outpatient settings, such as ambulatory care centers. The system fits on a tabletop and is operated through a desktop or laptop computer. It has less than 50 percent of the capacity of a Pyxis MedStation ES System, but provides the same security and access to critical medications closer to patients. The system uses the same server, CUBIE pockets, inventory management, and data systems as other technologies built on the platform, which enables customers to leverage their investment and centralize medication management across all of their hospitals and ambulatory care settings.
