Mattias Paulsson, deputy chief pharmacist at the Uppsala University Children’s Hospital in Sweden, will discuss the advantages of compounding hazardous drugs via robot technology, with a focus on staff and medication safety, cost savings, and workflow efficiency. In addition, training and quality assurance requirements will be addressed.
Mattias Paulsson, MScPharm, PhD, is deputy chief pharmacist at the Uppsala University Children’s Hospital in Sweden. He received his pharmacist degree from Uppsala University. Mattias has served as the chairman for the Scandinavian Pediatric Pharmacist Group, and he is on the steering committee of the ePed Best Practice Initiative for safe handling of pediatric medications. His professional interests include parenteral nutrition, IV compatibility, formulation science, and compounding.
