Pharmacy directors continue to rate automated dispensing cabinets as the most important pharmacy technology for their organization and are very highly involved in the purchasing process. Usage and satisfaction rates also rose this year and most pharmacy directors are planning to increase the capacity of their cabinets. Unfortunately, little progress was made this year in the number of facilities using bar code verification during the refill process.
