<797> compliance is now a common focus of regulatory inspections and while citations and recommendations remain rare, it is notable that the likelihood of such action increases when The Joint Commission (TJC) inspection is conducted by a pharmacist. Underscoring the need for vigilant attention to safe practices, just under one third of facilities have recognized a patient incident involving a compounding error over the past five years.
