The marketplace for closed system transfer devices (CSTDs) is expanding as more vendors enter this space offering additional options. Nonetheless, the need for further education regarding hazardous drugs (HDs) is evident: few pharmacy directors are conducting wipe analysis for HD residue, and most are unaware of the <797>requirements related to CSTDs.
