IV Workflow Management

State of Pharmacy Automation 2012 - Vol.9 No. 8 - Page #68

IV workflow management tools are far from common, as only 8% of facilities have implemented one to date. These systems are most commonly adopted by larger operations with a designated pharmacy informaticist on staff. In fact, hospitals with a staff informaticist are four times more likely to use this technology, and they are also more satisfied with their product, underscoring the key role informaticists play in adopting new automation to drive patient safety initiatives.

(Note: The data in this section is not statistically significant due to the small number of system users.)
