Additional progress is required for many facilities to develop effective environmental monitoring programs. These programs are not yet universal, and few pharmacists are highly confident with their current monitoring processes. However, when state boards require compliance with <797>, pharmacists in those states report significantly higher satisfaction rates with their processes versus those pharmacists in states where <797> compliance is not required.
