<797> Compliance

April 2014 : State of Pharmacy Compounding - Vol.11 No. 4 - Page #14

Compliance levels remain stagnant with just 32% of facilities reporting full compliance to USP <797>. The highest performing facilities tend to be in states where the board of pharmacy requires compliance to <797>. In addition to higher compliance rates, facilities in these states conduct gap analyses more frequently, have higher BUD compliance rates, and project shorter timelines to full compliance. This data strongly suggests that all state boards should embrace the tenets of <797> and make enforcement of this regulation a priority.
