PP&P’s 3rd annual survey of USP <800> compliance provides valuable insights into current and projected hazardous drug practices in hospitals and health systems nationwide. As this survey was conducted during the COVID-19 crisis, it provides additional insights into pharmacy’s strong commitment to achieving compliant HD practices regardless of significant external pressures. Thanks to the 315 pharmacy leaders who completed this survey, the pages that follow establish clear data points that you can benchmark your facility’s progress against.

Survey respondents represent a balanced cross section of facility sizes across the US.

Urban, suburban, and rural facilities are equally represented among the survey respondents.

The majority of respondents (58%) hail from community hospitals, with an additional 37% from teaching facilities, be they community teaching hospitals or academic medical centers.
