IV Line Labels

Line Tracing Labels from Medi-Dose/EPS are designed to ease the process of labeling IV lines in any setting. Pharmacy simply places the entire label on an IV infusion container, and when the medication is administered at the bedside, nursing applies one line label to each end of the tubing. This facilitates easy line traces, improves accuracy, and helps minimize IV line confusion.

A series of new labels that draw attention to routes of administration is now available, alerting pharmacy and nursing to TPN, intrathecal lines, arterial lines, central lines, emergency drug ports, and feeding tubes. Additional line tracing labels have been developed for a variety of commonly used but potentially dangerous medications (including but not limited to: fentanyl, nitroglycerin, dopamine, and vecuronium). New general high-alert line tracing labels are now available in 100 formats, drugs, and styles. In addition, customizable line tracing labels allow facility-specific formats, and are compatible with laser or thermal printers.

Tamper Evident Cap with Male Luer Lock from IMI

IMI has expanded its Prep-Lock product family to include a tamper-evident cap featuring a male Luer lock, which provides a secure closure to devices that feature an ISO-compatible female Luer connector, such as CADD cassettes. The caps are an active deterrent to potential diversion and misuse, and they provide an extra level of security for pharmacy’s compounded sterile preparations (CSPs) and, ultimately, its patients, by securing the drug delivery devices.
