Alëna A. Balasanova, MD, is the co-director of the Addiction Psychiatry Consultation Liaison Service at Nebraska Medicine and the director of addiction psychiatry education for the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She earned a BA from The Johns Hopkins University and an MD degree from Harvard Medical School.
