Andrew James Safioleas, PharmD, MBA, is currently a clinical pharmacist with Mass General Brigham at Newton Wellesley Hospital in Newton, Massachusetts. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Northeastern University in 2011, and his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth in 2017. A certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Dr. Safioleas has over a decade of experience in hospital pharmacy practice. His experience extends throughout several areas of pharmacy practice, which include front-line and leadership responsibilities. He has taken initiative in many operational and clinical projects involving pharmacy department and hospital leadership, not limited to but including the decentralization of pharmacy services, conversion of automated dispensing medication cabinets, implementation of computerized provider order entry, education and training of pharmacy personnel, facilitation of pharmacy department readiness for The Joint Commission surveys, and optimization of pharmacy department workflows and workspaces.
