The RxDestruct waste disposal system is the result of partnership among Clear River Enviro and Southwest Research Institute, Campbell University College of Pharmacy, and Agile Technology. The team utilized a scientific approach to digesting chemical compounds that can be executed in a patented device smaller than a desktop printer. The size and configuration of the system allows for installation wherever pharmaceuticals are handled, and can be directly installed with standard plumbing connections, allowing for immediate disposal into the sewer following chemical destruction. RxDestruct is also available in a self-contained, portable version. Both products assist in pharmaceutical destruction while improving compliance with DEA and EPA regulations. By destroying opioid waste at point of origin, it eliminates the multiple opportunities for diversion.
