IntelliGuard announces the integration of its IntelliGuard Anesthesia solution with Epic to improve hospital workflows. By integrating the RFID medication management system with Epic, anesthesiologists and pharmacists can accurately track medication, including controlled substances, after it has been dispensed. RFID technology provides insight into when a medication was dispensed, the amount administered, which patient received the medication, and any allergies associated with a patient’s condition. This new integration creates a passive workflow, which reduces inefficiencies.
