Emporos Systems Corporation has enhanced its MerchantSoft POS System to include new features that simplify outpatient services by making script delivery easier and more efficient. An improved screen design using overlapping windows, tables, and tabs maximizes the touchscreen. The system addresses HIPAA privacy and PCI security issues, and promotes a better experience for the customer by reducing the number of touches needed to accomplish tasks while providing up-to-the-second information on patient and script status. The site and POS settings are now managed at the enterprise level, allowing for easier and faster deployments. There is also improved data flow performance using Web services architecture, and customer authentication is made at the point of sale and sent directly to the enterprise server. An interactive customer-facing touchscreen device is now available with the latest version of MerchantSoft.
