Pharmyx introduces the CP48, an automated medication storage and retrieval system for unit dose blister-packaged oral medications for hospital central pharmacies. Using MedStrips, single strips of 25 individually labeled unit dose packages of the same medication, the system automatically loads 30 MedStrips, 750 medications, and holds up to 48,000 unit doses of up to 2,000 different medications. The system dispenses individual unit dose packages in sealed and labeled polybags for individual patients or for restocking ADCs. Returned unit dose packages are automatically restocked to active inventory. The system occupies a small footprint while offering high-density storage.
