Compounding Pharmacy Audit from CPS offers a systematic review and audit to assess all major aspects of sterile and non-sterile pharmacy compounding processes. CPS reviews the phamacy's current compounding environmental and operational procedures for adherence to regulatory standards. A corporate specialist is assigned to conduct the on-site audit for compliance with applicable USP <795> and <797> standards, state and federal law, and regulations relevant to compounding licensure and practices. The specialist will use the CPS USP <795> and <797> Gap Analysis and Sterile Compounding Safe Practice Assessment Tool (based on the ISMP Safety Alert) to conduct the audit. On-going monitoring of the progression of corrective actions by the inspected pharmacies is available. Following the audit, the CPS corporate specialist provides a compliance report indicating level of compliance and identifying non-compliant indicators.
