Genixus, a 503B outsourced compounding company focused on providing acute and critical care medicines, announces a new manufacturing site in Concord, North Carolina. The buildout includes cleanrooms for formulation, filling, inspection, and packaging, in addition to quality control labs and dedicated utilities. Production of the company’s first ready-to-administer (RTA) product, KinetiX RTA propofol, began at the company’s headquarters in Kannapolis and will expand into the new Concord facility. The RTA propofol is available in 10 mL and 20 mL sizes and features long-term shelf stability, a color-coded plunger rod to support rapid identification, RFID-enabled tracking, and a polymer syringe to help eliminate risks of glass breakage and delamination.
