Baxa announces the rebranding of its Intelli-FlowRx Workload Management Software to DoseEdge. DoseEdge streamlines the previ- ously manual workflow for pharmacy doses through bar code drug verification, automatic dose calculation, and image capture of dose creation, which helps pharmacists check doses. In expanding the system’s capabilities beyond the IV room for more complete dose manage- ment, the addition of Preparation Modes allows the system to filter and control the dose queue so that oral dose prep, extemporaneous compounding, telepharmacy, and TPN manual additions can be tracked along with IV dose preparations. Future DoseEdge upgrades will integrate the documentation and tracking system with Baxa equipment such as the ExactaMix Automated Compounders.
