Rejection Labels

Medi-Dose, Inc / EPS, Inc

The USP <797> standards for safely preparing compounded sterile preparations (CSPs) state that during visual inspection, those with observed defects—like visible particulate, foreign matter, or discoloration—must be rejected, clearly marked, and segregated from acceptable units to prevent them from being released and dispensed. To help pharmacists comply with this requirement, EPS has developed a specially designed Rejected label. With a bright red image, this large label provides clear notification that a rejected CSP should not be dispensed. The label’s plastic dispensing box and the IV/blood product safe adhesive are equipped to accommodate the requirements of the environment where these labels will be used.
